Favorite Team is a menu option in most Madden NFL games. It is a setting in which the player can pick the team that will be mostly used by default in the game for branding.
Impact of choosing favorite team[]
In Madden NFL 2004 and most subsequent 6th-Generation Madden Games, there is an option to set the player's favorite team to None/All NFL, in which the game will show all NFL teams.
By selecting the player's favorite team, the in-game menus will be set to only show the player's favorite team, as well as defaulting all team selections to the player's favorite team.
The game will automatically set the player's favorite team as the default home team while the away team will be set to any of the favorite team's divisional rivals, while All NFL/None will set the Super Bowl-participating teams as the default Play Now, with the Super Bowl champions being the home team, while the losing team is set to the default away team.
