Madden NFL '94 is an NFL sports video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by EA Sports.
It is the first game in the Madden NFL series to have an official National Football League license. As a result, the teams are named the same as the real life NFL teams of the era, instead of generic location names. In addition, the series was named Madden NFL for the first time. A NFL Players Association license had not yet been granted to EA, thus the rosters still use generic names for NFL players. This was the last season when the Cardinals were known as the Phoenix Cardinals as they changed it to the Arizona Cardinals starting next season and it was also the last season when the Las Vegas Raiders where the Los Angeles Raiders as they went back to Oakland in 1995. For the Los Angeles Rams, this is the final season as their first stint in Los Angeles as they moved to St. Louis the following year.
