A team is an organization of the NFL. Currently, there are 32 NFL teams, split into two conferences, the AFC and the NFC, who both have 16 teams. These conferences are further split into 4 groups of East, South, North, and West each having four teams.
Players[]
Each team has around 50 players on it at once. During the pre-season, teams have up to 90 players (since Apr 23, 2012), but the limit is reduced to 53 during the main season, forcing teams to determine which players they most want on the team. Other players must be dropped into free agency, preventing them from being used by the team. However, each team must have between a minimum and maximum amount of players for each position in order to play an official NFL match.
