The Washington Commanders are a playable NFL team in the Madden NFL series. Before Madden NFL 21 they were known as the Washington Redskins, but due to peer pressure from companies claiming that "Redskins" was an offensive term, the name was changed during 2020 to Washington Football Team temporarily until they changed to the "Commanders".
